Doesn’t say a lot for the future of the world if people have lost their sense of place and ethics. I’d like to see that our kids get a decent education BUT I don’t support governments subsidising private schools to the detriment of the public school system. I also don’t agree with having Australian jobs and industries that take no notice of environmental health and sustainability BUT I’m more angry with our governments subsidising unsustainable foreign companies exploiting our natural resources. Rising interest rates are a fact – just as higher taxes are – IF we want more government finances boosting public assets and providing better quality and more public utilities.

I’m sick of supporting shareholders and directors of businesses that don’t look after their customers or the Australian environment. I want government-runTelecom back and get rid of privatised Telstra. Bring back Australian call centres and public utilities with local shopfronts. A strong public service is the sign of a healthy mixed economy.

It’s vital that we give sanctuary to people seeking refuge from war and famine in their country of origin. Some day soon, it may be us fleeing. And, our environment is fighting back. Australia has too many people living on the narrow coastal fringe SO, unless people move inland and learn to harvest food from the Australian bush, we need to cut down how many children we have. Get rid of the baby bonus for starters!

We’re not machines, we’re living, breathing animals of the human species! When did we become so uncaring, so computerised and so attuned to useless daily economic reports and monologues from robots calling themselves sporting heroes! I’m surprised that some of them have groins, let alone groin injuries.

What happened to the caring society? Did we lose it in the global market, or what?
